The wind rose
For each of the eight wind directions Moonlog adds up the hours you hunted and the animals you saw, and plots sightings per hour as a rose. Filter by stand. The best wind is named, with the number of hunts behind it, because small samples mislead.
Not a legal reference. Moonlog is a logbook. It does not know season dates, bag limits or land boundaries. Follow your local regulations and use proper safety equipment.
Privacy
Stands and sightings stay on your device. There is no account and no public map. See hunting wind direction and stands for how to use the data.
Frequently asked questions
Does it tell me where animals are?
No. It only summarises your own logged sightings.
Does it track my location while hunting?
No. It records a location only when you start a trip and allow it.
